Based in Facebook & Discord.

Event posts will be in english, and text roleplays will be in english. But some comments would mostly be in Indonesian. Since this group is more likely to be in majority; Indonesian. Though, feel free to ask admin for help if there's any confusion!

Established in 1986, in Klieverde Island (located south of Nova Scotia, Canada) Kliev has always been the pioneer in Mythos education. Kliev is known both to be the best and the oldest institution that harbors Mythos and Myth-sensitive students. Starting as early from Junior High, to High Schools, and higher education to University levels. Accepting all children from various backgrounds, we nurture and educate gifted children to prepare them for the world.

What are Mythos, you ask? Mythos are people living among us, while they might not look different from most Humes, Mythos possess a unique ability thanks to their attunement and sensitivity to the Mythos Magic. Mythos are considered a minority in our world, and the majority of Humes often sees them as a threat, an anomaly, or simply just a strange case. Hence, there aren’t many education systems that revolve around Mythos. That is until Kliev comes in.

Kliev’s goals is to educate both Mythos and Humes to live in harmony and achieve collaborative greatness to contribute in the society, in hopes of making the world a better place for everyone.

Welcome to Klieverde University, one of the oldest institutions in learning the secrets of Mythos in the world.At KU, we dedicate ourselves to ethical and responsible uses of mythos powers, knowledge, and environmental resources. We educate willing students in how to harness their abilities, and also to use it to help build a better future for everyone in the world.In this new semester, we will be accepting few potential students and new faculty members who are willing to learn, observe and explore the wonders of Mythos magic itself. KU looks forward to recieving every applications, letters of recommendations, and every excellent essays. KU is a place for self-discovery, curiosity and scholarships. With unmatched class offerings, a multitude of majors, and a supportive and friendly campus environment, KU is worthy of your attention.We hope to be accepting new students and faculty members application in Fall. WORLD SETTING



KLIEVERDE ISLAND

Located in a small island just south of Nova Scotia, Canada, Klieverde Island is a comfortable, lovely quiet place to live. Decent with small hills, pine forests and a central lake, makes Klieverde also a spot for travellers alike to hike and enjoy what nature has to offer.Klieverde Town also offers a lot of places to explore. Other than hosting the island's crown jewel, Klieverde University, the town also has public parks near the residence area along with an open-outdoor mall just at the town center.Klieverde Island is the main setting for the roleplay. Everything happened in the roleplay will revolve within the island.


KLIEVERDE UNIVERSITY

Kliev University holds a wide area of campus, allowing it to host multiple buildings and facilities as well. Each of the faculty groups has its own complex and its own facilities, though they are not placed too far off from the main campus building for easier maneuver between classes.Campus Map:



KLIEVERDE'S HISTORY


While the campus itself is established in 1986, no one actually knows how, why, or even when the campus appears. It is said that The Bastiaanse (the ancient building used for campus activities nowadays) was once a place of shelter for Mythos alikes since ancient times.Many suspected that Klieverde Island---mainly The Bastiaanse---is one of the many nexus spot where first Mythos appears into this world. From where and why, nobody knows. Being decades shrouded in mystery, many professors, students and staffs alike are curious enough to try to find out the secrets of The Bastiaanse until this day, and came back with no luck. Maybe you can find something out while you're here...While the campus is shrouded in rumors, recently students often experience weird activities within campus...

THE ISLAND

KLIEVERDE ISLAND


Located in a small island just south of Nova Scotia, Canada, Klieverde Island offers a lot of places to explore; whether it be urban or its rural side. The northern part of the island is covered in pine forest, along with mountains that stretches long to the east protecting the northern parts of the island.On the map are the places 'unlocked' and available for players to visit. While not appearing on the map, players are able to HC their own home location and establishments too! (Feel free to discuss it with the admin)



On the south are where everything happens; Kliev Town. A town that looks comfortably rustic, with modern buildings starting to dense and more prominent as it start to get closer to its town center, the firefly plaza. The town itself feels lively, a safe haven for Humes and Mythos alike. On every corner, you would find shops managed by locals and families of old, some even look as if they were there for centuries. Though, the newer parts of town also shares it charm; the newer buildings, namely the malls, newer stores and the nightclub ingrates well with its surrounding. Giving it a youthful vibe to the rustic town.

NORTHERN KLIEV 
Klieverde University, or The BaastianseThe crown jewel of the island. Providing general and mythos knowledge down from generation to generation, the university has the oldest building and settlement in the island. Rumored to be where the first nexus appeared.
Upper ResidentalA rather large and fancy residental area. It feels tad old with manors of old and ancient families are mostly located in this section of the town.
Klieverde High SchoolHigh School for the island's resident. Mostly enrolls Mythos in its years, or Humes who are also sensitive in Mythos-Magic. Shares the same education group of the University, only younger.
Deveaux ChateuAn Old and ancient Chateu belong to an old Hume family in the island. It offers facilities such as Ballroom, Gourmet-level Restaurant, along with some cabins in the area.
Edelgard's Bath & SpaFamous for its salt baths and offering a relaxing experience, Edelgard's Bathouse & Spa is mantained by an old woman and her family.
Golden Grove CampFunctions as the island's National Preservation of its forestry and wildlife, Golden Grove camp also offers experience in staying in the wildlifes. Being one with nature, you might find yourself meeting a few critters and animals local to this island!

NORTHEAST KLIEV 
Northeast GateThe bridge that connects Klieverde with the rest of Canada.
Harbor ResidentalResidental area for the workers around the gate and the harbors near it. Fairly rustic, calm and quiet homes with a few lines of shops are the first view that greets those who travel into the island by road.

CENTRAL KLIEV 
Firefly PlazaThe central point of Kliev Town. A wide space for the townsfolk to converge and hold events. On summers, Firefly Plaza lives to its name: Fireflies would start to appear, and the surroundings would dim its lights to respect the little creatures.
Ivernes MallAn open, outdoor mall of the island. Easily enough the townsfolk could find almost everything in this mall, from primary needs to teritary needs.
Angus Memorial HospitalOne of the main and largest hospital in the island. Angus Memorial Hospital has their staff from various of backgrounds and experience, making it one of the first hospitals who pride itself in their advancement of Mythos Science and Health, providing Mythos' various cares and needs.
Ethereal NightclubThe one spot that provides the best night-life in town. From musicals to clubbing experience, Ethereal nightclub provides its facilities to those of age who wants to have fun.
Kliev Public LibraryPublic library open for the townsfolk to visit. It provides records and books dating to the early 1800s to today, even.
Lower ResidentalResidental area where majority of the townsfolk are living. While its size are decent, the area feels safe and offers a friendly environment for Humes and Mythos alike to live in.
Northside ParkJust aside the residental area, the park offers a relaxing spot to wind down and meet with your family and friends.
Ravencall OrphanageOne of the oldest orphanages within the island. Managed by an old Sira Ondyne by the name of Nalin Reid, who took his whole life in dedicating to provide shelter and care to Mythos children who are abandoned by their families.

Emerald BeachThe towns and tourist favorite beach. While enjoying the view one may enjoy the food stalls and facilities offered by the locals.
Carnival PierOne of the favorite spots for the townsfolk to wind down and have fun. Offering varied options of rides and forms of entertainment of all ages, the Carnival is a go-to for people to have fun whether it be day or nights.
Harbor DistrictOne of the crowded business area in the island. Ferries, boats, and even a couple of storage and trade boats makes it rest in this harbor.

Brief History

Within 2006, the humes of the world was made known of the Mythos exsistence, yet until today not everyone is accepting of our exsistence just yet.Today, Many Mythos communities already made themselves known to the world. But following the Global Mythos Union (GMU)'s Regulations prevents Mythos personells to use or publicly display their magical abilities in a non-mythos-regulated areas to prevent unwanted attention and events.*GMU is formed basically after the 2006 insurgence. Tension between humes and mythes are on the rise, and in response to humes' constant complaints and threats the GMU formed. *GMU formed to make a middle lane for the Mythos and Humes to live with the same rights. While offering the humes proposition on how the mythos should live their lives (e.g, no showing their myth forms and abilities outside of designated areas), while at the same time promoting Mythos' existence towards the hume-dominated world.***While the world situation and history in KU RP is similar to our modern world, some events happened in the real world might not happened in this RP. We tend to NOT bring real-life major events into our roleplay. And events happened within the island is securely contained within the island itself. ***

2020s 
2029Current Year. CIT Conducted an interdimensional experiment on the Nexus spots lead by Howard Derrick Bruner which ended up blowing the school up and bringing the realms to merge together.
2028First curriculums of Elder Being studies launched. UJS and UPS has similar troubles like KU in the past and has requested aid and expertise from members of KU.
2027Klieverde University's 1st Chapter. Campus Anomaly Started. Incident at a camp along with sightings of an unknown creature. It was soon figured to be an Elder Being trying to manifest into the world.
2025A(n undisclosed due to privacy) student of Klieverde was found dead at 21. Cause was unknown.
2022The Awakening: The Elveri opens their gates to one of many of their dimensional pocket libraries, giving access to the world of more Mythos knowledge and magic.
2020Oceanic Embassies of Ondynes is formed, lowering the tension between Dynes and Sira.

2010s 
2018Nogroth's Creators & Merchantile Associassion (CMA) is formed. Nogroth's influence in the world has brought a new wave of science mixed with mythos magic altogether.
2016Economics recovers, thanks to smaller countries' efforts along with variety of nogroth guilds.
2015Global Trades and Economics plummets. Vanguis needs for blood supply is affected the most.
2012Healthcare for Mythos improves, followed by higher number of survivability of Mythos in the world
2010Sports League for Mythos is officially held first

2009Protests, Fights and Movement for Mythos equal rights arises.
2008A Nomad clan in California, The Sand Striders Clan, was brutally slain in an (alleged) accident

1971Lotus' branch expands worldwide as their focus efforts are now global. As lotus expands, so does the range and reach of their experiments.
1970An elveri ambassador succesfully asserts himself in hume politics.
1964A guild of Skydweller nogroths introduces themselves to the world, though remained hidden afterwards for a few years.
1947Lotus expanded their ambitions at the knowledge of existing mythos. Their corporation is now split into two; the normal technological dept and the other dedicates their research to studying the mythos and to utilizing the mythos magic. Experiments on mythos started using the veterans of the 1930s war.
1946War ended, many Mythos personell was lost. Allegedly, the Mythos division was sent to fight something else while the war was for political coverage.
1935War started (not ww1&2 kliev doesnt have those), 'Discovered' Mythos are listed to help with war efforts, especially Lycans.
1922Penumbral Massacre, uncontrollable mythos transformations that causes 120 people to lose their lives, amongst them also includes mythos themselves.
1920Lycans starts to migrate and hide in the cities, resulting in a different clans of the urbans

At the heard of Klieverde University is an accomplished and faculty whose members compromise one of the top academic institutions in the island. Each Faculty member brings unique experience, academic specialty, published contributions to a field of study, and a dedication to classroom education, offering students a rigorous challenge each and every day.Klieverde University faculty members are grade scholars in their respective fields. While most of them won't be interacting much with the campus environment, here are a few faculty members you will occassionally meet from time to time:

Prof. Divya Kumar

Head Professor of School of Mythos Studies and History. A Klieverde alumni, and a respected witch in Canada. Respected member of The Coven, a small collection of witches and wizards under GMU's umbrella.

Dr. Abraham Henry Clement

Klieverde's Head Librarian (Private section). Campus' President closest and trusted advisor. Vice-chancellor candidate for year 2028.



PROFS & STAFF

Dr. Sarren Hayden Yllarin

A renowned Mythos doctor since the 1940s, operating under the radar and served in military services at the times of needs. Now a Head Physician in Klieverde University since the 2000s.

Aslan Vitus Nødskov Rune

An assistant within Klieverde University's private library, and also the Folveri in charge on keeping watch of the public section of the library in KU.

Prof. Hironori Yoshihiro

A Performing Arts professor who has travelled far from Japan to teach in School of Arts and Design. Easily strikes a conversation, a charming smile, and an up-beat attitude.

Prof. Ingrid E. Poulsen

One of the prominent figure in the international fashion designer, who humbly joins us as a fashion design professor in the School of Arts and Design.

Prof. Mikhail Pavlishchev

A former athlete and a holder of two gold sports championships; one in Javelin Throw within RAC and one in WWC. Now he dedicates his time in coaching and teaching in SHSS, carving pathway for future students to focus in Athlethic carreers.

Prof. Jonathon McReady

A renowned defense prosecutor circa 2000s in the USA. Has handled three high-ranking case of Mythos-relating crimes with two success defenses. Upon retirement, he joins up KU to teach in SCLJ.

Prof. Nobuyuki Ueda

An archeologist slash professor who's focus is within mythos literature history in a Japanese-Mythos school--the Sato Gakuin (Sato University), now joins us as a mythos-literature prof in SLL.

Prof. Thomas Clinton Langford

A researcher and a best-selling book author in his Mythos magic research. While working on his next title, he returns to KU to teach and share his expertise in Mythos magic theory in SMSH classes.

Prof. Sharon Moriarty

Once was a director in an advertising agency, now she returns back to her teaching roots. Though her teaching experience was mainly for HS, her knowledge and expertise in advertisement and graphic design helps SAD students to develop their career paths.



DEDICATED STUDENTS

A campus is not without its contributing students. Over the years, our campus marks down students who has contributed and has roles in helping our campus grows. Here are a few names which you may find around campus:

Dae-Hyun Nam

Coming from the faculty of School of Business & Management, Dae-Hyun helps build Klieverde's Co-operative Guild (KCG) from scratch. He helps other students by providing items to trade and sell.

Cornellius S. McCourtney

An upholding student in School of Crime Law & Justice, Cornellius has been a very active and contributed a lot as the head of the Student Senate in Kliev University.

Elliot Reese

Born in the island, and moved away along with his parents back to UK to live a quiet life, away from the vanguis and its council influence. Though, the quiet doesn't last long. Elliot's parents died and he's forced to move back to the island, Elliot now has come back to the island, enrolling into KU under his grandfather's wishes.

Sarah Worthington

A quiet and sharp-tongued witch. While mostly keeping to herself, there's no shortage of her getting caught snooping onto places she doesn't belong to. For what purpose? Some say she's looking into the supernatural cases in campus...



NOTABLE RESIDENT

Outside of campus, residents of the island that often helps maintain the community and provides various needs for the students and staff are also have a huge role in the livelyhood. Here are a few notable names you might find in the island!

Detective Zael Vincenti

A known town-detective specialized on dealing with Mythos-related cases, and a loving husband to Ingrid E. Poulsen. Zael is one of the few detectives that has earned the trust of residents in Klieverde Island. He lead his own division of Mythos-lycan detectives, the K9 squad.

Ga'at "Snowscale"

One of the very few Scale-Kin residing in Klieverde Island, and so far is known to be the only survivor of his kind in the Golden Groves incident. Now Ga'at resides under Vincenti's watch, slowly trying to get used and assert himself in the society, despite him being different.

System & Enrollment

Q: I was wondering if you open enrollment only for student, or are you opening for professor or assistant as well?
A: We are opening enrollment for students, as well as professors and assistants and the newly opened role; sampus staff.

Q: Whats the difference between assistant and students? i assume assistant as in professor assistant are from student. so whats the difference between them?
A: Assistants here are purely separate from the students. They are considered a junior faculty member who's assisting an ongoing project or research, yet they may fill in classes when a professor is absent.

Q: Must the oc (for professor and student) new to KU?
A: They don't have to! Since the application doesn't require them to put in grade/year, the students/staff may be new or have been studying in KU for a while! It is totally up to the applicants.

Q: Can we re-use app sheet or character that didn't get enrolled in the previous KU enrollment?
A: if you're confident, sure. :)

Q: Are there any periods for application check?
A: No. But it's okay to ask direct and specific questions via admin's (Mossy) DMs. Though admin will not confirm whether somoene's entry is correct or not.

Q: Can we enroll characters that belong in previous/other RP Groups/Settings?
A: If it's from an RP that is an active group: No.
If it's from an RP that is an inactive group: Ask both admins' permission.
If it's from an RP was only Hashtag or AU: Yes.
If it's an idle old OC: Yes.
All in all: Ask the other admin whether they are okay with the arrangement or not. Kliev only allows so to minimize confusion and complications.

Q: What are the font that we should use for the appsheet?
A: by default its arial/avenir. its preferred if you use those

Q: Can we edit the background of the appsheet?
A: No, especially in the locked folder (behind student's card).

Q: How far/much can we decorate our app sheet?
A: As long as it doesn't change the majority of the app sheet looks, meaning try not to cover a lot of the app sheet. While we appreciate the creativity, the uniformed look must not be tampered with.



Lore - Race


Hume

Q: Excuse me Professor, I wanna ask on what it mean to be "Myth-Sensitive"? Do the Humes just have a special affinity to detect Mythos? And do they have any special characteristics other than that?
A: Myth-Sensitive humans are technically humans with affinity of harboring and using Mythos magic through training, not detecting Mythos around them. And nope, they look the same as other humes, even Humes with Witches/Wizards bloodline.

Q: How do the Humes usually realize that they are Myth-Sensitives?
A:1. most of the time its they realize it when they are exposed to other mythos (e.g when a vanguis tried to bite them, an ondyne trying to mersmerize them, etc) and is resistant to their effects,
2. second most common occurance is that some myth-sensitives (and also witches/wizards who are technically strong in myth magic) can see 'things' that aren't supposed to be there
3. it could also be from cryptic dreams you get at night
4. it could also be a genetic thing, when you realize maybe one of your parents or ancestors are myth-sensitive
5. or lastly have a witch/wizard check on you. they could determine your affinity in mythos magic to see whether youre sensitive enough or not .


Elveri

Q: hello excuse me, i would like to ask, does an elf should change their appearance into human like the other race ? since its difference is only on their long pointy ears, thank you
A: No, Elveri does not have to hide their appearances since they're one of the mythos that are easily accepted and blends well with the humes. (Elveris only need to draw one fullbody looks — and a card portrait, ofc—for their sheets, no need for an alternate look!)


Vanguis

Q: I was wondering abt vanguis’ feeding habits. Do they have a limited time on how long they can go without blood? And what would happen if they go without one in an extended amount of time?
A: Vanguis do have a limited time on going without blood. Some who has higher control over their hunger can go on for two weeks before going into a manic state. while newer, untrained ones tend to succumb faster for at around three days.
A state of manic is where a Vanguis gets blood-depraved. The vanguis would often having a hard time focusing, and their Mythos form would look sickly as if close to a corpse. The state will hurt the vanguis so much because their blood cells would start to consume each other. Similar to a hume's leukemia. If untreated, it could cause a permanent damage to the vanguis or worse; death.



Lycans

Q: For Lycans, do their height and weight change when they transform to their lycan form?
A: Lycans generally grew bigger after their transformation especially for Canidae and Ursidae lycans, but in reality their sizes may vary! It can be totally different for each person. At max some would reach two and a half meters tall.



Ondyne

Q: For ondynes, is it must to have "irregular" skin color despite having fin, visible gills, and scales on their skins?
A: Not exactly! Some Ondynes do come colorful (Dynes being bright-scaled and Siras being dark), but there are plenty of them who are close to hume skin tones too!

Q: For the mermaid/merman race, can it be a hybrid of other species of the sea? E.g. squids, octopi, turtles
A: Ondynes may have decorative influence to their looks from various sea creatures, BUT their physiology cannot be different from other ondynes.
Ondynes are its own creature, so they would not have a different physiology from one another; all of them has a tail in their waterforms. (kinda like humes. you dont see humes walking around with horse hooves for feet, right?)



Nogroth

Q: Is it allowed if a Nogroth have any interest outside craftman's field (arts & craft or machinery) so they did not chose art or engineering faculty for studying?
A: Yes, Nogroths are free to have interests outside the craftman's field. However the abilities they get do tend to revolve around that (cannot change their abilities). But Nogroth students are free to chose whichever study they wish to.



Lore - World

Q: I was wondering about the fashion choices for the characters! From what i've seen it feels like a mix of street styled outfits with some modernized-pop-punk style, is this correct?
A: Yes, it's what's in hits within our campus right now, but overall any urban/street-fantasy or pop-fantasy fashion works! I personally use Dislyte for reference. It's a mix of fantasy, pop, urban and street, though probably not as exaggerated.
Q: Can we allowed to make theories/headcanon in the world then implement it on our OCs?
A: Theories and headcanons are alright as long as its not capital city-wide range and larger😃 if your character is from a small town or a village with their own story, that is totally alright!

Q: Is it possible to have a place that open for Mythos to be themselves (like a restaurant for example) even tho it is located in a city that is outside the nexus area?

A: For the dorms, they are separated by gender; but there are also neutral dorms available for those who wants to be in neither! Male student dorms are in the east wing, Females in the west wing, and those who prefer to stay in neutral dorms are available in the South wing.

Q: does KU accept international student with a criminal record?
A: It's fine as long as they served their sentence (which means the crime wasn't recent. Petty ones are alright as long as they served or was bailed), is currently NOT on parole and has someone that watches over them/has a guardian or a family that vouches for them.
On a side note, mentally unstable and/or incapable of thinking straight/for themselves (clinically insane characters) are definitely not allowed. Remember that this is a school, not a mental institution.

The elveris are known as the keeper of knowledge. Most people came to the elves for advice and for knowledge. They're basically the scholars and sages of the world. Elveri, being one of the respectable races of the myths, along with the Vanguis. Both other myths and hume respects this ancient faction for keeping the Earth safe and balanced.*Averils and Folveri usually has a small diamond on their foreheads, indicating that they are of pure-elveri lineage. Though, they could conceal it as they see fit. Most Averils and Folveri wears them proudly.

MAGICAL ABILITIES

  • BASE*: High eidetic/photographic memory, they remember every vows, every event, and every word uttered for at least in the past 5 years.

  • Proficiency** - Simple elemental manipulation magic (fire, ice, earth OR wind)

Most humes fear them since they're the only Myth that has the ability to turn others into their own. With that dangerous power, Vanguis has their own smaller-scale of government to keep every Vanguis in check. They are called The Council, which mainly led by each of the clan leaders from Verdash, Vladimiras and Raiths. Those Vanguis who went against the Council's mandate are often taken away and never to be seen again.*While their mythos form appears like an undead, Vanguises' anatomy cannot be deformed too far (extra wings, non-Plantigrade hind legs, etd). Unhiged jaws, deteroriating and slightly longer limbs, protuding teeths are alright as long as they don't stray far from basic human anatomy and is purely decorative.

MAGICAL ABILITIES

  • BASE: Upon reaching adulthood, they physically age 2x-3x slower than regular humes, don't need constant consumption of food but will need to consume blood. Immune to the sunlight as long as they're in their 'hume skin'

Dynes are mostly highly charismatic, most people will find them friendly on their first encounter, and unlike their counterpart, Sira’s looks are terrifying and is closer to the deep-sea creatures, most people will find them scary on their first encounter.*Ondynes has their own anatomy--half humanoid half fish tail--but their visuals can be influenced and or decorated from exsisting sea creatures, but they do NOT have the ability of the fish they are referenced to. (E.G, a lionfish Dyne can have the looks of a lionfish, but they do not have the ability to poison someone using their stings, and tentacled tails are not possible due to the different anatomy and function)

Though, they are one of the toughest to comprehend due to their isolating culture, especially the Cavedwellers and Treewalkers who tend to prefer solitude, unlike their Skydwellers cousins who tend to move around a lot.*It's possible for nogroth to appear and form as their sister-elements. E.g; Lava-looks for fire nogroth, Ice-looks for water nogroth, Mushrooms-looks for plant nogroths, etc.

MAGICAL ABILITIES

  • BASE: High craftsmanship skill and knowledge, especially regarding crafting materials (It could be something practical such as arts and crafts or into a complicated one such as modern machinery) and manipulating own's element in a small personal scale (changing temperature, make own's body element move around, etc).

  • Proficiency - Able to conjure a couple of spectral hands that hovers around the summoner and can touch physical things with it for one minute.

  • Proficiency: CAVEDWELLERS - Elemental magic, the ability to manipulate the shape of some minerals (rocks, metal, and crystals) or meld them together, resistant to volcanic heat.

One of the unidentified Mythos. Hiding away from the world has been the Scale-Kin's way of life, until Klieverde University opens its gates for them recently. A lizard-race that has fast regeneration skill and is resistant to mythos magic, making them strong against other Mythos' influences. Downside are, they cannot cast magic and have a major difficulty in transforming between their Mythos and Hume looks, making their hume appearance janky and sometimes even scary.*Scale-Kins' hume looks are never perfect thanks to their inability to cast magic. They would have different variery of flaws such as scales that are left out, spikes that didn't disappear along, or even a weirdly shaped jaw. How major their flaws are (the imperfections and how long it takes for them to transform) depends on each author's HC.

MAGICAL ABILITIES

  • BASE: High resistance to magic. When somoene or something is affecting a scale-kin via magic, they are more harder to influence. [CLD advantage, DRK disadvantage]

  • Proficiency - Ability to heal faster than most humanoids. [Remove 2 Harm in one resting]

  • Proficiency: CROCODILIANS - Ability to manipulate in hardening their bodies and grow or re-grow their scales at will. Allowing them in having a better chance to defend themselves from harm. [VOL defense advantage]

(+) Scale-Kins have a very close-knitted sense of family and kin-ships. Since their lives are mostly as outcasts (due to being a minor Mythos in the society) they treasure their families deeply--and calls their own kin egg-brother/sister/siblings--or if they don't have one, lives alone in solitary.
(+) There exist Scale-Kins that are able to perfectly hide their features in hume forms, but there are not many because it's hard for them to master. When they do, it is usually those who are proficient in magic and has been living in the cities that could blend in well with the society. (Lizard people!)
(-) Scale-Kins are new to the world, and is only generally accepted within Klieverde Island, South American AND Southeast Asian regions. Outside of those areas are mostly dangerous for Scale-Kins to be out in public.

One of the unidentified Mythos. Even though small in size, the Faes are the most proficient race in mythos magic. They are very sensitive to mythos magic, and easily casts and conceal them as they see fit. Making Faes one of the most-sought mythos in the world, for various reasons. Because of that, they hide, conceal and keep to themselves a lot. Similar to Elveris, Faes has their own 'pocket dimension' for their covens to live in. To find a Fae living out of the coven; is most likely by their own choice, or they are exiled from their covens.

*Faes' fae-forms are naturally always smaller than humes. Ranging from a minimum of 60cm short to maximum of 130cm. To become even smaller, they need to use more of their magic skills.

*Their mythos visuals limits are: Sun-faes are usually of light, bright or warm colors, while moon-faes are dark, cold or muted in color. Both must always have wings. Their size are small (as described above). Their hume looks, however, MUST look as normal human as possible.

MAGICAL ABILITIES

  • BASE: Highly adapt in magic, especially transformation magic. They are very sensitive to magic which makes them easier to sense the magic threads around them, but makes it harder from them to resist magical effects. [DRK advantage, CLD disadvantage]

  • Proficiency - Able to change their size smaller than 60cm, to a minimum of 5cm for a considerate amount of time.

  • Proficiency - Able to create a temporary pocket dimension for refuge. The size is considerably small--room size up to five humanoid--and the interior is up to the author's HC. (though, they cannot take something out or use things from the pocket dimension as it is only and empty space and the visuals are purely decorative/illusion from the caster)

  • Proficiency: SUN-FAES - The ability to heal another and themelves instantly of harm. [Removes 2 Harm in one resting]

  • Proficiency: MOON-FAES - The ability to foresee a very short glimpse at the possible futures. [DRK check]

(+) Faes' Mythos forms are the most flexible (thanks to their proficiency in transformation magic). Their Mythos forms can appear as weird, scary, beautiful or even as humanoid as they want themselves to be as long as it follows the general fae ruling (described above). *e.g: Death from Hellboy, Blue Spirits from Del Toro's Pinocchio, MTG Faeries, Biblically accurate angels, etc.
(+) Faes mostly comes from a coven that lives in a separate dimension (Sun-faes and Moon-faes has different covens, Whether it be a local-sized one a massive one). Faes that lives outside of their covens are generally outcasts or helps provides their coven with outside aid.
(-) The Faes are, at first, dubious in existence due to their proficient ability in hiding themselves. It is important for Faes to not expose their origins as it is would endanger their covens/existence.
(-) While not many know the existence of faes, Faes in general myth are seen as tricksters and bearer of bad-luck.

Klieverde University is a DRAWING BASED Group


In Klieverde, there will be points system from the artworks you've submitted (either it be from daily or event). Your character can gain 'Credits' that can be used to develop your character in Klieverde; buying items in the SHOP to upgrade your skills and stats, or for roleplay novelties.
Credits acts separately from money, and character's money wealth is up to the players' discretion.


All art styles, skills level and medias are welcome. Klieverde's point calculation will be based on effort done on each piece and level of activeness within the group. Points can be gained by submitting daily, KU-oriented artwork into the group and by participating in group events.


While it is a drawing-based group, Roleplay and building relationship between characters still has a part within the group. So do not worry about activity, most important is that you are having fun!

THINGS TO NOTE:

  1. Max credit can be gained from Daily Art Submissions are 500 creds per-month.

  2. Point calculation best be done by each members on their own by filling in the table on the calculator link. Otherwise members can request for point calculation at every 2 or 4 weeks (depending on the intensity of the submissions) by mentioning the admin.

  3. COLLABORATION ARTWORKS (Daily): Total of the base reward will be divided evenly for each participant, with an additional award of 10 credit for each participant.*

  4. COMICS (Daily): Follow the RENDER points calculation, but instead of per character count it as per-panels.

  5. Drawing NPCs ONLY does NOT gain you credits. You gain credits only when there is a Main Character present in one frame/scene as them.

  6. NPCs that doesn't have their own sheet wouldn't give you credits UNTIL you sign them up and upload their sheet in the album.

  7. Posting art on facebook group counts as a finished art. WIPs posted in FB group will be treated as finished art.

  8. Posting art on discord does NOT gain you credit. Credits are only counted if posted in the main FB group with the required format.

*E.G: two fullbody, rendered character artwork and a detailed background
= 30+20 x 2 = 100, +50 background = 150 credits.

Each participant gets 75+10 credits = 85 Credits each.

GUIDE: Events & Roleplay


Another way of gaining a massive amount of Credits is to participate in events happening in the university and in the island. There will be MAIN STORY EVENTS and SIDE EVENTS, and rewards differ for each event you participate in.While both STUDENTS and FACULTY often shares the same prompt, there will be time where they recieve different prompt each. So consider your character's occupation carefully before submitting!

  1. MAIN STORY EVENTS: players will be given prompts to draw their characters reacting to the event happening around them. Main events will have time duration and minimum requirements for the artwork entries. Reward from participating and following Main events requirements are a total of 750 Credits, and various extra rewards.

  2. SIDE EVENTS: players will be given prompts to draw their characters participating in certain activities. Side events will also have time duration, and easier requirements for the artwork entries. Rewards from participating and following Side events will vary from each events to another.

Note, If you have two or more MCs: Putting two (or more MCs) in one picture works, but it will count as collab art so the credit rewards will be split between MCs


**Events are NOT MANDATORY. If you couldn't participate, it's totally ok! Daily Submission could help too. (I know most of us are all busy adults now)*😞
*Treat these events as bi-monthly drawing prompts instead of an obligation (you won't get penalty when you can't participate, but recieve rewards when you do!)


ROLEPLAY: Discord

Discord link will be available to members who has enrolled in. It won't be the main place for all activities to happen (Since this is a drawing based and discord is just BAD for showcasing artworks---it gets buried fairly quick!) so Discord is mostly for chatter roleplay, asking questions, or headcanons.Roleplaying within Facebook comment section is also allowed! (Though, does anybody still do this? If so, thats great because I miss that a lot, lol)


ROLEPLAY: Monsterhearts Sessions

Occasionally admin (Mossy - atm, i am a sole admin please have mercy🙏) will hold a Monsterheart 2 sessions along with the events happening in KU.

Your character's stats will be most useful in these sessions. Since Monsterheart 2 mainly uses 2d6 dice only, your character's stat and skills will be most useful in becoming a modifier to heighten the chances of your character succeeding a roll.
Items you have bought in store can be used in both discord roleplay and monsterhearts sessions. Let admin know what you have in your inventory!

Knowledge of TTRPG (or in specific, Monsterhearts 2 is NOT required--however is appreciated). Drawing is still the main focus of the group. Admin will explain and moderate on how the group RP works, so players can just sit back, relax and have fun.


*Participating Monsterhearts 2 Roleplays are OPTIONAL. Due to my ability to only host for a few people at the time, Roleplay events are mostly additional experiences and considered as a side, for-fun events.


ROLEPLAY: Others

Other than event roleplays, players are also encouraged to roleplay or have headcanons with one another outside of admin's supervision, though its canonity will be remained a headcanon between players until you join a hosted group roleplay or draw them in major/minor events.Be sure to ask admin to determine some headcanons are okay or not for this world setting!

GUIDE: Character Stats


In KU, your character can grow to learn new skills and strengthen their ability stats (modifiers to help with rolls). In Klieverde, we took inspiration from the Monsterhearts 2 Game. Though, most of the stats will be used in unlocking abilities, giving your character access to certain choise of events, as well as modifiers for dice rolls when the RP uses dice.

We implement MH2 for this game by its stats system, and dice rolls so that in Roleplay-Events we can use our character in MH games which will be held in Roll20. These Table-Top Roleplay aren't mandatory, it is mostly just for fun.


Stats that are available for your characters are four:

  1. HOT: Your character's ability to sass others, dominate over a situation, or their confidence/upbringing regarding a certain event.

  2. COLD: Your character's ability to remain calm and reserved, shut down other's remarks, or ignore certain events or happenings around them.

  3. VOLATILE: Your character's ability to inflict physical harm, their endurance and strength, and ability to withstand fight or inflict pain towards others.

  4. DARK: Your character's ability to sense the occult world, maintain connection/communication with the beings of other side, foresee events or detect any occult presence nearby.


Every player character (PC) starts with a set of [-1, 0, 0, 1] for their stats. Authors are free to distribute the starter numbers in whichever stat they see fit for their characters along with their +1 bonus from their race. Stats can be upgraded along the roleplay events and items from the shop.

  • Hume: +1 to ANY stat of your choice

  • Elveri: +1 to ANY stat of your choice

  • Vanguis: +1 to DRK

  • Lycan: +1 to VOL

  2. PERMANENT UPGRADE: Some shady (and pricy) items in the shop are available to permanently upgrade your stats. Keep an eye though, shop's stock are random and you can only buy ONE of these items per month.

  3. EVENTS: Main and Side events may sometimes gives you items that could upgrade your stat, or mayhaps even directly teach you something that gains you an additional stat.

SKILLS:

Skills are the abilities that your characters can do and use in the world or against other characters in roleplays. Every race has their own set of skills, and starter characters only have ONE BASE skill unlocked when they start.Using Experience Mark, Characters can unlock their proficiency skills based on their sub-race group. If your character has unlocked their sub-race proficiency, they are able to continue to unlock other sub-race's proficiency in their race group. In total, your character can have FOUR proficiencies learned.To gain ONE proficiency skill, your character needs to gain FIVE experience mark. Here's how you can get experience marks from:

  1. MAIN STORY EVENTS: Every participation in a MAIN STORY event will reward your character an experience marks. Depending on the quality of your entry, a character may gain up to two experience mark per main event.

  2. MONSTERHEARTS 2 RP PARTICIPATION: Participating in MH2 roleplay grants you one experience points. Though, slots in MH2 sessions would be limited due to my ability to host roleplays. [I will try my best to cycle through the player roster, prioritizing players who hasn't had their chance of RP]

GUIDES

PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THE RULES


  1. RESPECT each other, whether in roleplay situations or in artworks posts. Consent is key. This includes No-godmodding, meta-gaming, mary/gary-stu characters. If you want to do something, discuss them first with other roleplayers.

  2. This groups is for 18+ of ages and up (for mature content and language, horror TTRPG theme, modern teen-fantasy theme). If you're below said age, Unfortunately you can't join just yet.

  3. Try to use english whenever you're in the group. This is an international roleplay group, and we don't want anyone to feel left out!

  4. Refrain from using profanities and inappropriate words in Klieverde's public spaces. If possible, sensor them. Using slurs will result in immediate ban.

  5. Once submitted your MCs, you may not use your Main Characters in other major RP groups. AU or hashtags RPs are fine, but not as major/main characters in other RP groups to prevent confusion in story and developments. NPCs are alright.

  6. Do NOT post NSFW art nor do NSFW roleplays in Kliev's public spaces. While this is a 18+ rated group, Most posts are available for public there may be those who are uncomfortable with the theme, so be considerate. There will be specific channels and place for NSFW discussions, keep it there.

  7. Do NOT claim the assets, races and the race names, outfits and official logo as your own.

  8. Do NOT share the Discord and Roll20 links (and other possible links) to other people UNLESS I allow you so.

  9. Do NOT repost Kliev’s announcement posts and assets anywhere outside of facebook without my permission. If you want to share it somewhere else, let me know.

  10. No dragging personal drama into the group. This also includes trauma-dumping. If you have bad blood with someone within the group, do NOT ever mention the RP’s name. It is your own problem, be mature about it, and do not drag the RP down with it. If there is any drama happens between players, we don't want anything to do with it.

  11. Do NOT treat this group your safe space. This roleplay group is a PUBLIC place. Many different and variety of people sharing the same space, not everyone can understand everyone simultaneously. Remember to treat this group as a PUBLIC place: Do not share your personal info and struggles, and behave in the group appropriately like you would outside.

  12. Do NOT make any sort of profit from this RP Group/Setting. Commissioning your OCs that are in this RP is fine, but selling merchandise using Kliev’s logos and assets without consulting admin first is fully prohibited.


Admin is a SOLO admin. If anything happens within the group, the less tiring option for me to do is to block and ban anyone who went against these rules. My goal is to make this RP group a productive, comfortable space for the members and MYSELF.
Joining the group and submitting in your application for enrollment means you AGREE to follow the rules listed below.If there are any violation, admin will give a first warning. After that,

University Faculties:

Each faculty also has their own major studies, students are free to choose their desired major studies as long as they fall under one of the faculty’s categories. (e.g, if you want to study/teach Modelling, it will fall under Arts & Design. You don’t need to ask me for it, you can just put any major on your ID but PRIORITIZE putting in the Faculty first).Faculty members application can also pick which faculty they assigned at. Once enrolled, students and faculty members cannot switch their faculties around.


Campus Roles:

While there are various and numerous members of our huge community, each major roles has a vital contribution to the campus. Here are the main difference and what you should now about them:


Students

Are the heart of our campus. We provide our best knowledge and wisdom to our students, in hope of providing the necessary tools for them to navigate in the world. As well as providing comfort, and a space for students to create and be around their Mythos brethren.Students in KU are mainly to study, explore the world and themselves.


Faculty: Professors & Prof. Assistants

Are the backbone of our campus. While the majority of our professors are Alumni of KU, there are also those who hail from other campuses and various backgrounds as well. Hoping to share their knowledge and wisdom to future generation, while also working on projects to help improve the livelyhood of the Mythos around the world.Professor Assistants are also the same. While they would mostly be 'younger' in experience, our Prof. Assistants are on their way to learn to become the future professors. While some tread this path purely to teach, some might tread this path while also doing their own studies.Professors & Prof. Assistants in KU are to play the role of a teach, or guide students in navigating the life around campus. It is not mandatory in RP to teach them. This is just a label/role for your characters


Staff

Are the life of our campus. Our campus would not be as lively and thriving without its Staff members. Tending to Campus' safety, managerial, hygene and even to food supplies. Staffs plays a major role in keeping our campus feels safe and comfortable, as well as helping the campus environment conductive for both Students and Faculty activities.*Note: While staff has four major departments (Security, Cafeteria, Janitorial, Clinic/Health) It is alright to enroll others that are outside the major department (e.g: Apprentice Librarian, Financial Manager, Gardener, etc.)Staff in KU are here to play the role of the campus' keepers. HEAD position for staff roles is NOT available It is not advised in RP to manage the campus (it is Admin's job to take control of a situation). This is just a label/role for your characters.

Campus Buildings


Kliev University offers a wide range of faculties for their students, professors, and even Klieverde Island residents to access to. The University will be the main setting for the plot points. Island residence can still access some places within the campus grounds, but there will be restricted areas that only Students and Faculty memebrs can access.


Public University Facilities:

Campus' Complex

Kliev University holds a wide area of campus, allowing it to host multiple buildings and facilities as well. Each of the faculty groups has its own complex and its own facilities, though they are not placed too far off from the main campus building for easier maneuver between classes.


Library

Kliev’s Library is open to the public, and operates from 8 AM to 8 PM everyday (Vanguis librarians take shifts too!). While the public are only allowed to use the 1st floor facilities, students are allowed to use 2nd floor shelves containing previous students’ research papers, and also academic reference books. Professors and Staff gains access to 3rd level shelves which includes higher-level research and expensive, difficult-to-attain books.Some students also hear that something weird happens at nights in the library....


Auditorium

The auditorium, placed just at the south side of Klieverde's main building, is a place to hold various events starting from student-held events and official faculty events. While it is mostly locked when there aren't events going on, the theatre club often hold shows who are open to public's view.



Private University Facilities:


DORMS/HOUSING

Students and Professors who came from abroad or live far away are allowed to stay in the dorms. There are three types of dorms available:

  1. Public Dormitories, each room is shared (two students per room, feel free to headcanon with a friend or with your own NPC). Public Dorms have their own lounge and shared bathroom.

  2. Private Dormitories, is a one-student room. Private dorms have their own lounge and shared bathroom.

  3. Premium Dormitories, is a one-student room with a personal bathroom in it. Premium dorm comes with a high maximum offer of accommodation, and may suit each Mythos needs for comfort and can be decorated as freely as you will (e.g, a personal aquarium for Ondynes, or a built-in refrigerators for Vanguis’ blood supplies, etc.).

  4. Faculty' Complex, is a small apartment area where professors or staff who aren't local to Klieverde Island resides. Provided by the university, an apartment room for professors may house 1-3 people in its limited space.


Male student dorms are in the east wing, Females in the west wing, and those who prefer to stay in neutral dorms are available in the South wing.


By starter, everyone gets a free PUBLIC or PRIVATE dorm. Main Characters can upgrade to Premium Dorms using your Credits.

Campus Outfit & Uniforms


Students and Professors would gain their appropriate attire after enrolling. For the students, you will gain either one of the the campus' official blazers, sweaters OR varsity jackets. For faculty members; professors/assistants gains the campus' official blazers OR outer coat.Uniforms are OPTIONAL, students and faculty members may dress however they want as long as its school-appropriate. ID CARDS would be the main, required item for identification and must be carried with at all times.

ENROLLMENT INFO

Before creating a character, please read the LORE guides to help you understand the setting, races, and available majors and roles within the university.

NOTE: Players can have a MAXIMUM of 3 Player Characters, and an unlimited amount of NPC. At first, players can only submit ONE character, and then you can buy an additional slot for extra PCs and NPCs slot from the shop.



PLAYER CHARACTERS:

Player characters can be STUDENTS (50%), FACULTY MEMBERS--Professor/Assistant (25%), or STAFF--Janitorial, Lunchlady, etc (25%) who enrolls/works in Klieverde University. They are here to study, observe and to master the knowledge of Mythos, as well as to live among each other.Notes:
- Students, Faculty and Staff shares the same sheet (check the folders in it)
- Remember to change the dates
- Do not tamper the locked folder
- Your character artwork must be of your own work. Not commissioned, not AI

NPCs (optional):

NPCs are additional characters in the RP group. Their stats and proficiencies follows the linked-MC. But they do not have credits, inventory and is not able to participate in events to replace Main Characters. But can be either a student, a professor, staff, a legal guardian or parent, or even an island resident. NPCs are able to appear in events entries or artworks as cameo or a background character.*Note that while NPCs may give additional credits on monthly art entries, NPCs cannot standalone in artworks. Those who want to join Kliev MUST read all the GUIDES available in the page, join the GATE for the enrollment process, and then after the selection process players that came through the enrollment process are accepted into the main FB RP group.

OUR ENROLLMENT VALUE:

What makes an entry good and is chosen to proceed forward?

1. Klieverde University takes characters' backstory very, very seriously.
We value entries that are aligning to our world-building, has a story that fits our world's narrative, and is able to give a personal twist to make each characters feels unique. All in a while that the backstory does not intervere with the worldbuilding.
2. Be creative, yet staying true to its course.
We value creative takes from the limitation that we give. A unique character with its own values and struggles, yet design-wise still respects how the setting works. (e.g, not breaking any visual/design/story rules and still be unique).
3. An eye for detail.
We value members that are able to spot and notice the details that our group has to offer. Whether it be from technical means (app-sheet entries and character design) or lore-wise (story, setting-elaboration, history links, etc).
4. Last but not least; is willing to cooperate with admins and its members.
Nothing is less important than respecting your peers and treating everyone equally! We appreciate members that are able to embrace new and old members to create a safe, healthy and fun environment for everyone in the group. While having circle of friends is inevitable, we encourage members to bond with each other regardless of friend groups.
Side Note: There are few ocassions that admin might personally extend a few invites to a few close acquaintances, mostly as a thanks for their involvement in help, giving advice, and external interest to the group. This only happens very rarely because admin doesn't really have much friends Invites will not reduce the enrollment slot, and will act as a separate slot in on itself.
